so there is this guy and i who is really good friends with me, on the superficial level because we aren't that close but i have a little bit of a crush on him but he has a girlfriend who is also my friend so i kinda had to give up on my feelings, but onight i got a dream about him: so we were in a marriage event and somehow my mom knew him because in the dream we were super close and then i was standing with my mom, talking to her and he told my mom he needs to tell me something important and then my mom gave a suspicious look but let me get dragged away by him and then we walk down the stairs and i was like what's u wanna talk and he grinned and handed me chewing gum and i squealed softly because i was excited. the refernce to this in the dream was i wasnt supposed to eat them becaue my mom told me not to and he sneaked in some for me, so we chew on the gum and keep walking and he casually throws his arm over my shoulder as we walk and then suddenly, another girl walks ou way and i quickly push him away and in the dream he knew that girl and he was talking and grinning and when the girl asked who i was he grinned a bit more and was about to say she is my girlfriend was halfway through saying it but i quickly interrupted and said friend. the girl looked wary but anyways left and he looked....hurt in the dream? then he asked me why and i shrugged i off saying it was to cause too much drama and stuff like that, then we walked away, still close to each other
Dreams often reflect our subconscious thoughts, feelings, and desires. In your dream, several elements suggest important themes in your waking life:
Crush and Ambivalence: The presence of your friend whom you have a crush on indicates your feelings toward him are still significant for you, even if you've tried to suppress them. The dream may reflect a desire for a deeper connection or the struggle with your feelings, especially since he is with someone else.
Mother's Influence: Your mother’s involvement in the dream symbolizes authority and protection. Her suspicious look may suggest your inner conflict about pursuing feelings for someone who is with a friend, highlighting the feelings of guilt or hesitation that come with wanting to act on your attraction in this situation.
Chewing Gum: This could symbolize something sweet and enjoyable but also something that feels forbidden or should be avoided (due to your mother's warning). The act of him sneaking it to you might represent the allure of indulging in your feelings for him despite the consequences.
Physical Proximity: Walking closely together and his casual arm over your shoulder signifies intimacy and connection. It reflects your desire for closeness with him, even if it's complicated by the presence of his girlfriend.
Interruption by Another Girl: The appearance of another girl and the way you respond suggests insecurity and a desire to protect both your feelings and the existing relationship dynamics. Your desire to identify yourself as just a friend indicates your struggle with how to define your relationship with him.
Conflict and Hurt: His hurt expression when you labeled yourself as just a friend suggests an awareness of unspoken feelings between you two. This could symbolize your fear of losing the bond you have and the complications emotions can bring.
Dramatic Tension: Your reasoning for not wanting to create drama hints at your awareness of societal expectations and the complexities of friendship, crushes, and loyalty. It highlights your internal conflict between wanting more and respecting boundaries.
Overall, this dream appears to reflect your feelings of attraction, the challenges posed by those feelings, the influence of friendships, and your desire for closeness while navigating complexities in relationships. It's an opportunity for you to reflect on your emotions and what you truly want moving forward, potentially helping you make decisions about your feelings and friendships.
